Women's Career Path to CEO - Phase 2 now launching

Exciting news… we are launching phase two of our Career Path to CEO research, lead by prof Stanislav Shekshnia, Florence Hamilton and Elizabett Yashneva, focused on women’s journeys and pathways to the top.

In this phase, we want to capture a defining moment in many careers – when expectations start to shift, opportunities open or narrow, and the choices you make begin to shape what’s possible next.

To ensure this research reflects real, lived experience, we’re inviting perspectives from women who are:

    • Aged 30–45
    • Working in mid to senior roles
    • Actively thinking about progression, leadership and what comes next

Is this you?

Women's Career Path to CEO - Breaking Myths and Shaping Paths - The original research...

  • Over the last five years, 36 women have held the CEO role across the FTSE 100, the FTSE 250, and 50 of the UK’s largest private companies.
  • As of 2025, 24 of them remain in post.
  • Our research, conducted over more than a year, with key insights published on 17th September 2025,  explores the opportunities and challenges for women aiming for CEO roles
